PINE – Pilsen Innovation Ecosystem. A comic book depicting the entire process of innovation and talent development in Pilsen. PINE is a way to show that the city’s future doesn’t begin at college or in one’s first job, but much earlier—perhaps even with young children. The comic book format illustrates something that is still more of a rarity than the norm in the Czech Republic: systematic work with talent, from the first spark of interest in technology through education and study all the way to innovation, entrepreneurship, and starting businesses. PINE helps get children and young people excited about technical fields, nurtures their development, guides them through their studies, and, most importantly, gives them a reason to stay in Pilsen and the region. Not just to live here. To create. To think. To try new things. To start companies. To change the city around them.
The result is on display at TechTower in the form of large-scale wall decals. The presentation includes an exhibition at Šafaříkovy sady in Pilsen from March 23 to April 24, 2026.
